A huge delivery

Off to the Trade Show
It is that time of the year again when I head to the Winter Trade show to buy products for the store. Exhausting times but oh so good to see my colleagues and get inspired by all the art goodness around me. This year the show is being held in Anaheim, California

Another Long Absence
It seems my intentions are great for this blog but, my execution leaves much to be desired.
I have been trying to get more organized about this site so that when I have the ideas for the blog I am actually in a place where I can write them down and get them done.
Since I have been gone I have taught on a cruise ship headed to Alaska. That was at the end of July and it was just this past friday that I was able to get my photos off my camera 
I have designed and had manufactured (and SOLD OUT in one week, yeah me!) a line of stamps for planners and a set for Art Journaling. If you would like to see what they look like please click here for the online store:

Auditioning
Just auditioning some images for my art journal. Sometimes I do that and then sometimes I just glue things down and work around them Guess it depends on my mood.
Cruising to Alaska
This years art cruise was to Alaska. What can I say, WOW. Alaska is stunning, from the wildlife to the scenery. It just blew me away.
I taught 4 classes on this cruise. The Gelli Plate printing class was a lot of fun and useful too, We made a portfolio to showcase all the brochures tickets and photos from the Cruise. In the Mixed Media Class we made a wall art piece that had three interactive tins to hold treasures.

a quick project
This is a quick and easy project to do but, oh so cute
First I diecut a strip of tickets from cardstock and then I stamped all over them with mini stamps and words using Jet Black Archival Ink
I added some color using distress inks and an ink blending tool
I inked th eedges of the ticket strips with JJet Black Archival and the tore a strip of muslin just slightly bigger than my ticket strip. I glued the tickets down to the muslin strip
Next I dyed a mini wooden spool with Vintage Photo Distress Stain and added a stamped bobbin image to the top. I glued the first part of the strip to the bobbin and then rolled everything up. I secured it with a decorative pin.
Small but cute project that took about 3 minutes to make.
